How we work

Documented work.
Every visit.

Most commercial HVAC failures are things somebody could have caught. The difference between a maintenance program that works and one that doesn't is whether anything gets written down.

Every unit gets inspected against the same checklist every time, with readings and photos. You see what changed instead of getting a verbal "looks fine."

  • Every unit inventoried — make, model, serial, age, refrigerant
  • Readings recorded and compared visit over visit
  • Repairs quoted in writing with exclusions stated
  • Straight answers when a unit isn't worth fixing again
  • One point of contact from the call to the invoice

First visit

Four steps. No surprises.

01

Walkthrough

We get on the roof and inventory every unit — model, serial, age, condition, refrigerant type.

02

Written findings

A report with photos. What's working, what's failing, what can wait until next budget cycle.

03

Quote before work

Itemized parts and labor with exclusions stated. Nothing happens that you didn't approve.

04

Set the schedule

If the equipment warrants it, we set a maintenance cycle so the next failure isn't a surprise.

Questions

Straight answers.

What kind of buildings do you work on?

Light commercial is the core — restaurants, breweries, retail strips, offices, dental and auto shops, typically rooftop units from 2 to 25 tons. We also handle residential service, repair and system replacement. Not large industrial plants or new construction.

Do you offer maintenance agreements?

Yes. Quarterly or semi-annual schedules with documented reports each visit, written per site after a walkthrough of your actual equipment.

Are you licensed and insured?

Kelvex operates as Fix It 44 LLC and carries general liability insurance. Certificate of insurance naming your property available on request. EPA 608 certified for refrigerant handling.

How does pricing work?

Flat trip and diagnostic rate for the visit. Repairs quoted in writing before work begins, parts and labor itemized. Maintenance priced per unit, per visit. See pricing →

Do you service evaporative coolers?

Yes, and it's core work here. Pumps, media, sump service, water circuit repair, and the fall winterization that prevents the freeze damage that kills these units every winter.
